District Mission

Career Learning
We help students consider and connect with possible careers, build the skills expected in the workplace and learn about options after graduation, including college, technical training or going directly into the workforce. We offer career and technical coursework through Kent Career Tech.
Academics and Beyond
Strong academics are the basis for all of K-12 learning, beginning with literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition to these areas, we engage students with a wide range of courses including introductory computer instruction K-2, dedicated STEM instruction in grades 3-5 and music, fine arts and physical education at all grade levels. Mill Creek Middle School students have the ability gain high school credit in multiple subjects while Comstock Park High School students have robust Advanced Placement and dual enrollment opportunities to earn college credit. Comstock Park offers after-school opportunities ranging from elementary enrichment activities in coding and engineering to secondary club activities in many diverse areas such as gaming, theater and bowling.
Early Childhood
Early childhood is a crucial time in children’s lives – when they engage in the world around them and learn all the basics they will use in school and beyond. Our Great Start Readiness Preschool classrooms help children prepare for school success.
Support for Students
Most students will need a little help at some point in their schooling. They might struggle with a particular subject, an assignment, or a life challenge for themselves or their family. We work hard to support students so they succeed, including hiring the best staff to assist them. In addition, we employ early literacy coaches, elementary and secondary reading and math interventionists and a high school career academy focusing on credit acquisition and work place skills. Comstock Park provides both elementary and secondary afterschool academic support programs, including transportation.
